The Spadafora Boxing Foundation strives
to provide training, travel, equipment, and housing to help underprivileged athletes pursue their dreams in the boxing ring.
The Core Values of the Spadafora Boxing Foundation can be traced to Paul's love, gratitude, and appreciation for Charles "P.K." Pecora. P.K. was Paul's first trainer. In addition to donating his gym and his time, P.K.'s financial backing enabled Paul to compete all over the U.S. Upon discovering Paul was briefly homeless, he even welcomed him into his home.
P.K. always believed in Paul's potential to be something special, and his intuition would prove true. Under P.K.'s tutelage, Paul would become an IBF World Lightweight Champion (1999-2003) and later be recognized as Pittsburgh's fourth sports franchise behind the Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins.
P.K. made Paul.
Since retiring from boxing in 2014, Paul has endeavored to follow in his mentor's footsteps. He trained scores of fighters over the past 20 years, and his boxing acumen helped several become national champions.
Paul relocated to Las Vegas to reunite with his family and share his passion for the sweet science with anyone willing to learn. Paul was a gifted boxer but vows to be an even better trainer. He continues to forge his path in the Fight Capital of the World and works fervently to help youth athletes achieve their dreams, just as P.K. had done for him several decades earlier.
Funding for The Spadafora Boxing Foundation
is generated through ticket sales at amateur boxing shows, merchandise revenues, and community donations.
Per the foundation's mission, proceeds cover training, travel, equipment, and housing expenses and provide opportunities to compete nationally and internationally.
